Dessert Groups!!

Dessert Groups

Saturday, June 21st, 7pm

That's right... dessert groups are back. We know you've missed them and for those of you who missed out last year, don't worry, you can join in the fun this time! It's all about getting to know each other and devouring tasty treats at the same time. What could be better, right!?

So, you know what that means... we need YOU... hosts and tasters to make this activity a success. Here's the deal:

Hosts: Show off your baking skills while providing treats for 2-3 couples/families and opening the doors of your home. The week before the activity, you will be notified of your group.

Tasters: Show up, enjoy some treats and be prepared to compliment the chef! The week before the activity, you will be notified of your host.

You can sign up in RS & Priesthood, or just email Becca Baughman at baughman.r@gmail.com. Questions, comments or concerns, email her those too!

Warning... the hardest part may be actually waiting for the activity!

PemRock Film Festival

The 2nd Annual
PemRock Film Festival
April 18th 6pm
Cultural Hall (1300 W building)

That's right... it's back! Because the PemRock Film Festival was such a hit in '07... we're doing it again. If you missed the chance to participate last year or wish you had, now's your chance.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the PemRock Film Festival entirely... here's the jist:

We’ve all experienced LDS commercials at some point in our lifetime. They’re heartwarming, impactful and often funny. Have you ever aspired to create or direct your own commercial? Well, now’s your chance. Make it funny, make it exciting, make it however you’d like. Work alone, as a family, or with another ward member. So dust off those old cameras and start now. Let’s showcase your creative juices!

We need your commercials to make this year another success! Here are the details:
· Commercial should be no longer than 2 minutes
· Please include a title and list of credits (people who participated)
· Submit to Mark Harper (m_mharper@yahoo.com, 368-8582) by April 11th
· To see last years commercials for ideas-- see below

For more ideas, click here to visit an archive of real LDS commercials.

If you need to borrow equipment, need someone to help you film, or any other help, please feel free to contact Mark Harper m_mharper@yahoo.com or Becca Baughman baughman.r@gmail.com. Now that we've taken away your excuses, let's start filming!
